Between a rebellion for "Refounding" or a front company for Rwanda's predation in Congo, activist Socrate and the youth of Rutshuru are asking questions.
For nearly a month, Rwandan subjects have deployed an armada of machines for the extraction of limestone at Katale in Rutshuru, about 60 km from the city of Goma.
Satellite images corroborated by information from local sources show 30 to 45 dump trucks coming from Rwanda per day that are loaded with limestone. They head directly to Ruhengeri, in Rwanda, passing through the Congolese-Rwandan border at Kabuhanga/Kibumba, in the territory of Nyiragongo in North Kivu.
These limestone stones, according to several sources, are destined for the final destination of the Rwandan PRIME CEMENT factory of the CIMERWA PRIMECEMENT group, which manufactures cement, located in the Musanze district. This cement is then sold in Rwanda as well as in the region, including in areas under the control of the rebel movement FRN_M23_Twirwaneho.
Limestone is the essential raw material used in the manufacture of cement.
