Ethiopian forces just put a massive haul of drones, munitions and military equipment on public display captured directly from TPLF fighters. Ambassador Meles Alem and ENDF officials stated clearly that these weapons originated from Egypt, Eritrea and Sudan. The markings, documents and hardware are right there for anyone to see.
In recent days these three countries met and openly agreed that naval & Red Sea affairs belong only to coastal states their explicit goal is to block Ethiopia’s legitimate demand for sea access.
Eritrea has been operating inside Ethiopian territory, supporting TPLF logistics and forces along the border.
Despite Sudan has been baselessly accusing Ethiopia, the evidence obtained reveals quite the opposite: there is direct involvement, while physical evidence of the supplied weapons rests in Ethiopian hands.
This is coordinated pressure: meetings to keep Ethiopia landlocked, border movements to fuel conflict, and now a public display of foreign weapons in the hands of a group that has repeatedly taken up arms against the federal government.
Pretoria was supposed to end this. Instead the same actors keep circling every flare-up.
Ethiopians have buried enough people. We know the difference between a real peace process & an attempt to keep the country weak, divided and permanently landlocked.
The weapons were not smuggled by ghosts. The meetings were not about tourism. And the border is not quiet by accident.
