Ethiopian forces are reportedly airlifting reinforcements into Mekelle Airport. Fighting is now happening right at the IDP camp, putting displaced Tigrayans at great risk.
đź“Ť Northern Tigray Restriction. The Ethiopian army reportedly banned vehicle movement in Adwa, Aksum and Shire during the evening. In Mekelle, low-flying Ethiopian fighter jets circled the city early this morning, frightening residents. The Air Force said the jets were conducting reconnaissance.
đź“Ť One of Ethiopia's eight sugar factories got attacked. Reports from Oromia say OLA forces attacked the factory, reportedly killing five people and abducting two workers. More than 50 motorcycles and five vehicles were set ablaze. Reports also claim OLA fighters ambushed Ethiopian army reinforcements, killing around 100 soldiers. The military reportedly responded with drone strikes. Casualty figures remain unverified.
