📍 Tigrayan forces have reportedly cut off the Aksum-Shire road. Tigrayan forces claim their Army 11 attacked Ethiopian troops along the route, disrupting a key supply line. The report comes less than a week after pro-government military sources claimed that Army 11 aling with its commander had been targeted in a drone strike. The Ethiopian army is now reportedly launching a counteroffensive to retake lost positions.

📍 The Ethiopian army has reportedly withdrawn from border areas, including Rama and Zalambesa, concentrating its remaining forces in major urban centres such as Shire, Sheraro, Aksum, Adwa and Adigrat. The withdrawal of troops combined with the army’s extended deployments, raise questions about its capacity to launch an offensive into Eritrea through Tigray.

📍 The Alliance for Survival (AFS) has issued an official response to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s statements on the Ethiopia conflict. The coalition rejects the labels of “separatist” and “terrorist,” describing its actions as self-defence. It has called on the United States to adopt a balanced approach to help achieve peace.

📍 The Ethiopian army has reportedly launched today a coordinated drone strikes campaign targeting Tigrayan forces across multiple areas of Tigray.

📍 Pro-government militia (Tigray Peace Force) announces that four senior TPLF figures have reported to security forces and are currently in Mekelle. They are Teklai Gebremedhin, Lia Kassa, Dr Tsegaye Berihu and Gebre Irob

📍 Egypt’s parliament has unanimously approved military involvement alongside Saudi Arabia against the Houthis. The deployment of Egyptian military closer to the southern Red Sea could raise strategic concerns for Ethiopia’s government amid already strained regional relations.
